Remarks"This was my first go at writing an adventure game. It came swiftly after I had finished the {Trader|SP Enterprises|0018921} games, and it's noticeable how the game kind of amalgamates the mini-animations of my Trader experimentations and the more traditional adventure style programming that was to come. At this point, my main inspirations were two fold. First were the Arctic adventure games, Planet of Death (similar name there!), Inca Curse, Ship of Doom and Espionage Island. Notably they were called Adventure A, B, C and D and this must be why I started numbering my games (well, at least at first). The other inspiration was friend Kenton Levitt developing an adventure game on his ZX Spectrum. So impressed was I with his grasp of BASIC programming skills (especially the clever use of DIM strings!) that I decided to have a go myself. I never quite reached his level of sophistication on my first few games, and it wasn't until a good year later I was using similar clever string stuff in my data storage of locations and objects and inventories. I did however manage to finish quite a catalogue of games! Kenton sadly never did the same - a shame."
